Sell children’s items in good condition
A clear listing reassures other families and speeds up exchanges. Here is how to describe your children’s items honestly, so buyers know exactly what they will receive.
A title that describes the item
A precise title mentions the item, its category and key characteristics: brand, model and approximate year. Avoid vague titles like « assorted items » that discourage families. A clear title also makes searching inside the app easier.
Describe the real condition, without glossing over
State the actual condition: signs of use, scratches, missing parts, or fully working despite age. Honest wording prevents disappointments and unfair exchanges. Reserve words like « new » for items that have never been used.
Photos that show everything
Take several photos: an overview, details, the label and any defects. Listings with clear photos get responses faster. Avoid using images taken from the internet or that do not match the item for sale.
Category, city and collection arrangements
Pick the category that best matches the object, and mention the city or neighborhood to make meeting easier. Say whether the item is for sale or free, and share your availability. Well-categorised listings are more visible and therefore more consulted.
Frequently asked questions
Should I mention a price in the listing?
If the item is for sale, a price or at least a range helps families ask the right questions. You can also offer a donation and say so clearly.
Can I write « like new »?
Reserve this wording for items never used. An honest description of the real condition avoids misunderstandings.
What if the item does not sell?
You can add photos or update the description, specify the neighborhood, or offer a donation. Listings can also be shared in your Camelia exchanges.
Does Camelia check items for sale?
No. Camelia connects families; the quality and content of listings are the responsibility of their authors.
